Kitchen Remodel Begins with Raising Ceiling

Custom-Built Upper Cabinets Add Space

This Stafford kitchen remodel begins with raising the ceiling by demolishing the fur down. Once removed, the gas, electric and water lines had to be rerouted as explained in the video below. This allowed for taller custom-built upper cabinets and can lighting in the new higher ceiling. A new vent hood was covered by a custom-built cover with a mantel for added appeal. Next to the vent hood is a custom-built slide out spice rack. Base cabinet boxes have new door and drawer faces. They also were fitted with custom-built slide out shelves. A new cabinet above the wall oven was designed to store bakeware, cutting boards and trays divided by vertical slats. All cabinets and drawers have soft closing mechanisms. An open shelf above the refrigerator allows for storage of cookbooks and platters. The peninsula features a contrasting Indigo Blue color that matches the blue in the Spanish floor tile. Crown molding adds a finishing touch to the ceiling.

Additional storage space, functionality and updated design are great benefits to this small kitchen. Please contact Home Base Repairs, your local Stafford Contractor today to discuss any of your home improvement and renovation needs.
